Job description

I am currently recruiting for an experienced HR Manager for a 6 month contract based in Whyalla.

I am looking for a HR manager preferably from a mining background with an extensive HR background. 
As a member of the Mining Human Resources Leadership Team actively contribute to the HR strategic direction of the Mining Business.    

Duties to include: 

  • Employee relations –  
  1. Develop strategies to maximise the potential of developing strong relationships with employees 
  2. Ensure legal & compliance with relevant acts & legislations 
  3. Build and develop relationships with appropriate unions 
  4. Identify opportunities for Improvement of the operations of the business 
  • Performance Management -  
  1. Provide oversight of performance management and outcomes 
  2. Ensure the process to implement/maintain development plans is in place for all salaried employees & training plans for all waged employees       
  • Training- 
  1. Deploy the competency based training system & processes 
  • Leadership of team -  
  1. Provide advice/coaching & guidance to HR team members to ensure they have the ability to meet organisation's requirements for HR services and advice
