  • Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer
  • 3-month contract with a view to extension

  • Hybrid working - 3 days in the office 2 days at home

Reporting into the IT Infrastructure Team Leader. You will be supported with growth and learning opportunities within an inclusive and diverse work environment, where you will be given challenging and important work that will have a real impact on the community.

 

About the Role:

 

This role will see you join a friendly and engaging Infrastructure team, to use your expertise to maintain the Network to the shire as well as day to day operations.

  • Maintenance of the underlying hardware and software Infrastructure and securing the corporate systems against internal and external threats
  • Maintain and enhance the corporate network
  • Keep the IT environment secure and safe
  • Advice and recommendations to management on technical issues
  • Maintain and upgrade Servers and SANs
  • Manage backup systems and Infrastructure projects and planning
  • Provide key inputs and advice in capacity planning and long-term facilities planning
  • Lead others in technical services and growth in their knowledge and abilities.

 

About You:

  • High level of proficiency in Cisco and similar networking equipment, Microsoft server infrastructure, SANs, various firewalls and VMware vSphere.
  • Sound proficiency with MS desktop applications
  • Proficient with software deployment
  • Demonstrate experience in network management. SharePoint and Citrix experience advantageous.
  • Excellent administration skills and ability to write reports and correspondence
  • High level of knowledge in computer security
  • Well-developed project management skills
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate
  • Knowledge of Local Government and associated systems or transferable knowledge
  • Current Victorian drivers license
  • Proof of vaccination certificate
