Payroll Lead | $130K + Super | Brisbane | Permanent - Hybrid

Charterhouse Partnership is partnering with a growing organisation navigating an exciting period of transformation following a series of acquisitions. This is a newly created senior payroll role offering genuine scope to shape and lead the payroll function through integration and into its next chapter.
  
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for end-to-end payroll across a workforce in excess of 1000 employees spanning Australia and New Zealand.

You will take ownership of a complex, multi-entity payroll environment and play a central role in integrating acquired businesses onto a single operating model.

The business currently operates Workday as its core payroll system alongside an outsourced Time Management System. A key focus of this role will be reviewing the current TMS landscape, leading the integration of all entities onto a unified solution, and managing the ongoing relationship with the outsourced provider.

This is an early-stage build with real influence over how the function is structured and where it goes.

Key responsibilities
  • Own and manage end-to-end monthly payroll for 1,000+ employees across AU and NZ
  • Lead the review and integration of TMS across all acquired entities Manage and develop one direct report, with team structure to evolve
  • Oversee the outsourced payroll provider relationship and service delivery
  • Conduct a thorough review of EBA and award compliance across the business
  • Partner with HR, finance and leadership stakeholders through the integration journey
  • Define and document payroll processes, policies and controls as the function matures
What you bring
  • Solid end-to-end payroll experience at a senior level across complex, multi-award environments Strong understanding of Australian and New Zealand payroll legislation and compliance
  • Experience with Workday and/or outsourced payroll models highly regarded Exposure to post-acquisition integration or system consolidation an advantage
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach with the ability to lead through ambiguity
  • Comfortable operating in an environment that is still taking shape
