About the Company

 

This growing organisation, who have been named on the Deloitte Fast 500 multiple times, with extremely rapid growth are currently on the looking for Developers, Senior Software Engineers, Technical Leads to join their team.  As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be working as a member of our Engineering team under the leadership of our Senior VP Product Development. You will be the first on the floor in Melbourne with plans to grow the team rapidly.

 

Duties and activities

  • Working as a member of an agile team following the Scrum methodology developing a new product in a rapidly developing market.
  • Someone who will be able to apply strong technical skills in the core technologies they use.
  • Leading the development of large-scale projects and major features of Instaclustr products.
  • Coaching and development of junior software engineers.
  • Undertaking design, coding, unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting in Java, Python, AngularJS, PostgreSQL, and other tools.
  • Following, and helping drive improvement in, standard QA and other development processes.
  • Meeting standard team member performance expectations

What you will need for this role

  • We require You to have the right skills and maintain professional qualifications for the role covering:
  • Coding languages and techniques including Java, SQL (preferably PostgreSQL), AngularJS and Python
  • Software engineering methodology
  • Tertiary qualifications in software engineering (or related discipline).
