Job description
The Solution Architect is a key member of the IT Innovation and Architecture team.
The Solution Architect will enable the IT team with the right toolsets, either as artefacts, or technical and business knowledge, and may mentor and coach junior engineers.
Key Duties & Responsibilities of our Solutions Architect will be to:
- Develop solution architecture and designs that are fit for purpose and cost effective
- Responsible for the architecture definition of business solutions and digital products, and the provision of architecture governance during their design and implementation.
- Recommend solution options in terms of costs, benefits, risks and architectural alignment
- Lead design work with our agile teams in a collaborative way
- Assist product owners and scrum masters / project managers with technology roadmaps
- Contribute to the definition of architecture principles, policies, standards, guidelines and models
- Contribute to the IT strategy, technology selection and innovation initiatives
Skills
- 3+ years’ experience as a Solution Architect.
- You will have covered multiple business domains and technologies, have strong knowledge and experience in one or more areas of architecture including application, integration, infrastructure, security, and in particular data.
- Also welcome would be technology domains such as Mobile, Cloud, IIoT, Analytics and Digital/Online.
