Job description
Team Leader/ Manager - Cloud Platforms
- Long contract & very good rate
- Australian citizenship required
- Cloud - Team Leader / Manager
Excellent opportunity to join a high performing team in their Cloud space to taking ownership of the platform
Responsibilities
- Providing day-to-day technical leadership for the Cloud Platform Services team
- Establish cloud process and procedures to adopt and accelerate the use of cloud services
- Experience in designing and deploying Cloud environments, including hybrid scenarios including optimising cost/capacity ratios, proper monitoring, scaling, implementing, and validating database & DR scenarios
- Drive automation, cloud and technology discussions and facilitate decisions with other teams within the organisation
- Manage the team’s workload, ensuring proper prioritisation and balancing capacity Implement processors and automation to ensure operational overhead of managing the agile environment is low, easy, and self service for nominated operations
- Train and mentor staff on how to effectively support and manage the environment
- Provide recommendations with respect to cloud migrations and assist with technical implementation roadmaps for Azure & AWS adoption
Skills
- Demonstrated a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Azure, AWS Cloud platforms and architecture.
- AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN - ( Regulatory organisation )
- Ability to set strategic direction and lead a team delivering to that direction
- Understanding of networking protocols and security principles.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft products including AzureDevOps, Azure Dev\Test Labs, Windows server (2012, 2016, 2019) and Active Directory
- Proficient in CI/CD tools and technologies including Octopus, Azure DevOps, Puppet, Git, ProGet and Chocolatey
- Managing DevOps projects and scrum
- Previous experience utilising exponential technologies to drive optimisation, agility and improve efficiencies utilising cloud solutions.
- Sound understanding of development skills including Azure CLI, ARM, PowerShell, YAML/JSON, Python, Bash, JavaScript, Lambda, CloudFormation is highly desirable
