The Role
  • Providing timely and practical WHS advice to ensure compliance with legislative, industry and organisational requirements.
  • Building trusted relationships with leaders and employees to foster a positive, safety-first culture.
  • Coaching and supporting leaders to strengthen their WHS capability and confidence.
  • Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of WHS systems, policies, processes and programs.
  • Coordinating and supporting incident management activities, including reporting, investigations, corrective actions and assurance follow-up.
  • Conducting risk assessments, workplace inspections and audits, while identifying opportunities to improve safety outcomes.
  • Analysing WHS data and trends to identify emerging risks and recommend practical, sustainable controls.
  • Supporting the development and delivery of WHS training, education and awareness initiatives.
  • Assisting leaders to integrate WHS into planning, procurement, contractor management and day-to-day operations.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to support the delivery of the organisation's WHS and Wellbeing Strategy.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and participating in WHS governance activities, working groups and reviews.
About You
  • A tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of contemporary WHS legislation, risk management principles and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience interpreting and applying WHS legislation within operational or high-risk environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in a WHS advisory role, ideally within blue-collar, industrial, infrastructure or other high-risk sectors.
  • Proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and positively influence safety behaviours at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt your approach to a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using data and insights to drive improved WHS performance.
What's on Offer
  • Salary of up to $125,000 + super
  • Multiple Sydney locations: Macquarie Park, Lidcombe and Sutherland
  • Opportunity to work with a respected organisation committed to workplace safety
  • Collaborative and supportive team environment
