About the company

Our client a local council based in regional Victoria is looking for a Corporate Planner to join their team. This is a fully remote, full-time role, working Monday – Friday.  The contract is initially for 3 months but could be extended if the project timelines progress.

You will be responsible for reviewing council services and making recommendations for rollout of the 2025 framework. You will have previous experience in a Corporate Planning position within Local Council.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Initiating policy and strategic development within the context of the local government environment and consistent with the Council agenda.
  • Guide and enable the organisation to deliver best value to its growing community through an integrated approach to Council planning, policy and strategy development and performance monitoring and reporting.
  • Undertake analysis, interpretation and presentation of data, trends, environmental and risk analysis and other information to support evidenced based recommendations to Council, ELT and the community.
  • Accountable for the delivery of agreed projects and publications on time.
You will have the following:

    • Previous experience within Local Council is essential
    • Significant experience in community engagement, communications and stakeholder relations, across a diverse cross-section of the community.
    • Experience in planning and continuous improvement for service delivery in a regulated environment.
    • Extensive skills and professional experience in Organisational Performance
    • Experience providing high level communication and engagement advice and support across both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ability to manage own time, plan and organise own and / or others work and / or resources at an advanced level.
