Job description

This Australian mid-tier firm are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to assist in their workplace relations team. The team pride themselves on their open-door approach and collaborative culture and are looking for someone who can work as part of a team.  The ideal person will have over two years in a legal support role and will have experience supporting several lawyers. They are happy to give full training in the practice area so are open to someone looking to try a new area of law.

  • Providing support to a team of lawyers in workplace relations   
  • Drafting and amending legal documents and correspondence  
  • Diary management
  • Monthly expenses
  • Liaising with clients  
  • Monthly billing  
  • Organising seminars and meetings
  • File management  

To be successful you will have:  

  • A minimum two years’ experience in a legal support role  
  • Experience using a document management and billing system  
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail  
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
