About the role

This market leading medical device company is looking for an experienced Legal Assistant who will come from either a private practice or legal in-house role. As the Legal Team Assistant, you will support the General Counsel and Company Secretary, Senior Legal Counsel and Legal Counsel to support the needs of a progressive and face paced organisation whilst making a real difference.

Duties to include

  • Assist the legal team to provide high quality and commercially relevant legal advice
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including legal advisers and insurers
  • Preparing documentation for Board meetings
  • Ensure the contracts register is managed appropriately and in accordance with governance policies
  • Preparing/collating reports
  • Ensuring compliance is up to date
  • Assist with risk management processes and policies
  • Preparing presentations, policy documents and general administrative support
  • Document filing and scanning
  • Improve team practices and drive legal innovation

Requirements

  • The successful candidate will have five years’ experience in a private practice law firm (with experience supporting at partner level) or have experience working in the in-house legal department of a large organisation, and will possess the following:
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • The ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Great organisation skills
  • The ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Strong service mentality and sense of fun
