About the role
This market leading medical device company is looking for an experienced Legal Assistant who will come from either a private practice or legal in-house role. As the Legal Team Assistant, you will support the General Counsel and Company Secretary, Senior Legal Counsel and Legal Counsel to support the needs of a progressive and face paced organisation whilst making a real difference.

Duties to include
- Assist the legal team to provide high quality and commercially relevant legal advice
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including legal advisers and insurers
- Preparing documentation for Board meetings
- Ensure the contracts register is managed appropriately and in accordance with governance policies
- Preparing/collating reports
- Ensuring compliance is up to date
- Assist with risk management processes and policies
- Preparing presentations, policy documents and general administrative support
- Document filing and scanning
- Improve team practices and drive legal innovation
Requirements
The successful candidate will have five years’ experience in a private practice law firm (with experience supporting at partner level) or have experience working in the in-house legal department of a large organisation, and will possess the following:
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- The ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Advanced Microsoft office skills
- High attention to detail
- Great organisation skills
- The ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Strong service mentality and sense of fun
