Job description
DevOps Engineer
- Sydney CBD
- 7-month contract
- Up to $750 inc super
One of the largest financial institutions is looking for a DevOps Engineer as the production support specialist to maintain a major project.
The company needs a production support resource well versed in AWS Cloud with working knowledge of its tools and languages.
About the role:
- Will be involved with incident, problem, change and request management
- Will be involved with compliance activities for the cloud based such as Disaster Recovery, Application and Database Backup
- Supporting projects for go-live implementation, deployments, operational readiness activities
- Continue to improve development efficiency in our growing engineering team and ensure customer and client satisfaction
Essentials:
- AWS Cloud based web frontend application, java based microservices/APIs support experience
- Knowledge of Service Management tools
- Monitoring & logging tools
- SQL skills such as PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of AWS Services
- Basic knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes or other Containers
- SSL Knowledge
- Basics of Linux, Bash scripting etc.
- Knowledge of GITHUB, Artifactory, JIRA or RALLY, Gradle, Kafka
- Understands REST API’s and Postman
- Basic Java development skills
- Understands Docker, Kubernetes or other Containers
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ideally banking experience
- Ideally knowledge of Azure
