Job description

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to authors, assisting with any court filing, drafting documents and formatting agreements in Word
  • Reception when receptionist is at lunch or away from her desk – answering phones, greeting clients, taking messages
  • General filing, photocopying, scanning and sorting of your author/team’s folders and documents
  • Working in a team and helping out the other secretaries, which includes being able to determine when others need help
  • Calendar management for authors
  • Assisting the office administrator with various admin tasks as needed
  • Knowledge of ASIC process, drafting and lodging ASIC forms
  • Creating company registers and transaction bibles
  • Drafting letters on behalf of the lawyers
  • Collating executed documents
  • Performing PPSR searches and ASIC extracts for companies and individuals

Requirements

  • You must be super organised
  • Enjoy working within a team and are collaborative
  • Have exceptional communication skills
  • Working with Microsoft suite proficiently
  • Billing experience
  • Working within a Law Firm within a support position
  • Working within a corporate team is desirable
