About the Company

The Data Analyst coordinates the management of data quality to ensure that council’s valuable data assets are accurate, relevant, and consistent to facilitate a unified view of customer and greater customer experience. This position is also responsible for data cleansing and data migration as part of data quality management.

This position is responsible for working professionally with employees at all levels across Council and liaising with relevant external stakeholders, including data analytics and insights team, data stewards in all areas and the transformation program.

 

About the Role:

  • Experience as a data analyst with special focus on data cleansing and data migration  
  • Demonstrated skills in co-ordinating data quality, data cleansing and migration activities across multiple departments and stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge and experience writing and developing SQL scripts and procedures within a Microsoft environment (SSMS, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including a thorough understanding of business issues relating to data quality and data governance.
  • Demonstrable experience in data analysis leading to process improvements and better customer experience
  • Some experience in data visualisation tools like Power BI will be highly regarded
  • Experience in working with a data quality platform like Experian Data Studio is highly desirable
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills and an ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

 

About You:

  • Experience as a data management analyst with special focus on customer outcomes
  • Experience in managing customer data and customer data quality
  • Demonstrated skills in co-ordinating data management activities across multiple departments and stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience in operational data analysis leading to process improvements and better customer experience
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Proven experience in training and educating a wide variety of audience
  • Some experience in data visualisation tools like Power BI will be highly regarded
  • Experience in working with a data quality platform like Experian Data Studio is desirable
  • Experience working in a council environment is desirable
