Leading higher education provider has a requirement for an immediate start for an experienced Facilities Manager to support with the smooth operation of Facilities and managing the day to day operation of the campus.
Responsibilities:
- Building Maintenance: Ensure all buildings and offices, are properly maintained. This includes managing repair requests, scheduling regular maintenance, and coordinating with contractors.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure the facilities meet health, safety, and environmental standards. This includes fire safety, electrical safety, and emergency preparedness.
- Budget Management: Oversee the budget for facilities maintenance and repairs, ensuring cost-effective solutions and proper allocation of funds.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external service providers for maintenance, security, cleaning, and other facility-related services.
- Event Coordination: Assist in the planning and execution of events by ensuring that venues are properly set up and any facility needs are met.
- Team Management: Supervise a team of maintenance staff, janitors, and other facility-related personnel.
- Experience in facilities management essential
- Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
