Job description
Finance Manager in Financial Accounting (external reporting) | NSW State Government | ASAP - Oct 2024|
- $82 per hour + Super
- Parramatta & WFH (2 days)
- Support financial management reporting to internal and external stakeholders
About the role:
- Manage and lead the external reporting team to support accurate external financial reports in line with statutory requirements for the Agency, internal accounting systems and processes
- Competently explain issues, interpret disclosures and advise on transactions reflected within the financial reports to ARC and other NSW Government agencies
- Support a small team in the production of the monthly management and financial reporting requirements
- Responsibility for the Corporate financial accounting systems and associated policies and procedures, including internal decision-makers and regular reporting to external stakeholders
- Support government financial requirements, including revenue returns for additional government funding (Parameter & Technical Adjustments, New Policy Proposals)
Preferred skills/qualities:
- Great communication skills with CA or CPA
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-maintaining skills
- Strong background in Financial Accounting ad hoc duties and dealing with ARC
- Large Infrastructure, construction, BIG 4 or NSW Government experienced candidates are preferred
