Job description

- 3 month contract (potential extensions)
The Role
- Assist in the development of new Drupal 10 websites, including site building and configuration
- Convert designs into custom Drupal themes while adhering to responsive design principles
- Create scripts, tools, and templates to integrate systems and websites using APIs
- Conduct debugging and testing, including unit, functional, integration, and performance testing
- Ensure compliance with W3C accessibility standards in all site-building and theming tasks
- Implement Google Analytics tracking code for website analytics
- Maintain thorough documentation of development work, bugs, issues, and solutions
Experience Required
- Extensive experience in front-end development and theming, with proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap
- Strong background in developing tools and applications using PHP
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Drupal 9 and 10 development
- Expertise in Drupal website building and customisation, including creating content types, themes, and templates
- Proficiency in Composer-based workflows for Drupal
- Familiarity with JavaScript frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js is a plus
- Experience in developing and consuming REST APIs (JSON and XML)
- Knowledge of Node.js and related build systems like Gulp, Grunt, and Webpack
- Experience working with Docker and Docker Compose
- Familiarity with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins and CircleCI is beneficial
- Proficient in working with tools like Figma, Git, GitHub, JIRA, and Confluence
- Experience with agile development processes, including collaborative workflows, code reviews, and pull requests
