Job description
- Initial 6 month contract with potential to extend
- Paying up to $1600 per day plus super
- Based in Sydney CBD, hybrid working
About the role:
- Develop and lead a high performing assurance team
- Support the effective implementation of the enterprise-wide risk, compliance and governance frameworks and policies across this NSW Government Agency
- Provide information and advice on the evaluation of business strategies to identify gaps and to strengthen controls
- Plan and oversee risk-based deep dives on high-risk areas to assess the strength of the control framework
- Develop relationships with business leaders to influence and foster a risk aware culture
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a related discipline.
- 8+ years’ experience in risk and compliance assurance within an insurance, corporate or commercially driven public sector environment.
- Well-developed understanding of enterprise risk and compliance management frameworks.
- Extensive experience building rapport and influence at all levels of an organisation.
