Community organization based in the south east | Support with generalist HR functions | $90 - $95,000 + super + benefits

  • Reporting directly into the HR Manager and be supported by the wider HR team
  • Full-time, permanent position | Flexible hybrid working option| Generally 3 days in the office & 2 from home  

About the company 

Our client; a community minded organization in the south east is looking for a HR Officer to join their people and culture team. You will be working closely with the wider P&C team, including talent acquisition, to provide the wider organization with cohesive HR support.

The position is full-time and permanent. The organization offers flexible hybrid working options, typically 3 days in the office and 2 from home.

Your key responsibilities include:  

  • Oversee and action the central P&C inbox by responding to enquiries and providing first level HR advice on policy and procedures 
  • Prepare and process a range of employment correspondence 
  • Assist with the P&C budget forecast and monitor monthly and year to date spend 
  • Prepare and distribute regular and ad hoc P&C reports 
  • Maintain, monitor, and report on employment compliance
  • Support with end-to-end recruitment
  • Coach and guide business leaders on HR best practices, including but not limited to performance management, probation reviews etc.
  • Support the People and Culture team with the scheduling meetings and events and coordinating agenda and minutes 

You will have the following:  

  • Working toward or completion of a degree or diploma in Human Resources or related field
  • Previous experience in a dedicated HR role
  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal 
  • Demonstrated customer-centric approach, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders 
  • Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
