Job description

  • Lead payroll, recruitment, workforce reporting and HR operations
  • Melbourne Inner City based |  Hybrid working  |  12 mth contract
 

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Lead to join a values driven organisation and play a key role in shaping and continuously improving the employee experience across the full employee lifecycle. This senior role is responsible for leading a multi skilled team across payroll, policy interpretation, workforce reporting, and HR and payroll queries, while partnering with key stakeholders across the organisation. You will work collaboratively with subject matter experts across People & Culture and the wider organisation to design, implement and embed best-practice frameworks, tools and metrics that support organisational strategy, workforce capability and an engaging employee value proposition.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Leading People & Culture operational teams
  • Reviewing, designing and implementing improved employee experience processes
  • Workforce reporting, insights and continuous improvement
  • Stakeholder engagement across all levels of the organisation
  • Supporting organisational priorities including diversity, inclusion and climate action

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Change or a related field
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management experience
  • Strong experience across HR operations, payroll, recruitment and workforce reporting
  • Proven capability in employee journey mapping, process improvement and project delivery
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills
  • Strategic mindset with a hands on, solutions focused approach
  • Local government experience is highly desirable
  • Chris21 experience is a must
