Learning & Development Designer - Fully Remote Role- 6-month contract opportunity with a leading professional services organisation — immediate start, fully remote anywhere in Australia.

- Role will continue through the Christmas period (excluding public holidays)
- Up to $420 including super per day
We’re seeking an experienced Learning & Development Designer to join a leading professional services organisation on a 6-month contract. This role is ideal for a creative, proactive L&D professional who can design high-quality learning solutions, manage multiple projects, and work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment. You’ll play a key role in shaping engaging learning experiences that enhance capability, performance, and professional growth across the organisation.
About the Role
This position supports the L&D Design Manager to identify learning needs, design and develop learning modules, and deliver engaging and effective learning programs. You will work closely with subject matter experts, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to design blended and digital learning solutions that align with the organisation’s capability strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct learning needs analysis to identify skill gaps and align learning solutions with business goals
- Design and develop learning programs, including instructor-led training, workshops, eLearning modules, and blended learning pathways
- Use Articulate 360 and other eLearning tools to build engaging, interactive online learning content
- Develop instructional materials such as facilitator guides, participant workbooks, job aids, and digital resources
- Collaborate with SMEs to translate complex technical information into accessible, engaging learning content
- Support the end-to-end learning lifecycle: scoping, planning, design, delivery coordination, evaluation, and continuous improvement
- Upload and manage courses within the Learning Management System (LMS) and ensure accuracy of learning data and user experience
- Partner with other members of the L&D and Talent Development teams to ensure learning initiatives align with broader capability frameworks
- Contribute to developing templates, toolkits, and documentation for consistent design standards
- Work independently and manage workload efficiently during periods of reduced team availability (e.g. Christmas break)
About You
You’re a motivated and skilled Learning Designer with a passion for creating meaningful learning experiences. You enjoy a mix of creative design and project coordination, and you’re confident working independently while collaborating with remote stakeholders.
You will bring:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in L&D design, development, and implementation
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Proven experience designing both blended and eLearning solutions using Articulate 360 and LMS platforms
- Excellent written and visual communication skills, with an eye for detail and learner engagement
- Strong project and time management skills; able to prioritise competing deadlines
- Ability to build positive relationships with internal clients and subject matter experts
- Flexible, adaptable, and agile – able to pivot quickly as business needs evolve
