  • Full time in Office, 7 hours per day

Our client, a large NSW Government Agency is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant for a temporary contract. Great company culture in a friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will be providing a broad range of administrative and clerical support for the effective operation of the Legal team.

Key accountabilities:

  • Archiving
  • Word processing, data entry, photocopying, court filings
  • Coordinating files, archiving, file closure, file retrieval, and coordinating office records
  • Assisting with preparation and collation of briefing documents, drafting correspondence, and providing support to lawyers with court matters
  • Maintaining accurate records of legal matters, and handling confidential and sensitive material with discretion
  • Providing quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders, and maintaining effective working relationships.

Skills and experience:

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Minimum of 6 months proven administration experience, preferably in the legal industry
  • Demonstrate resilience and strong organisational skills to balance high volume workload and competing priorities.
  • Be a motivated self-starter committed to achieve team goals
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite
  • Archiving experience preferably in the legal industry.
