Job description
What you’ll be doing- Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for business and technical users
- Develop semantic models using Power BI datasets, DAX and Power Query
- Optimise report performance, data models and refresh strategies
- Work with data engineers to consume curated datasets from cloud data platforms
- Implement row-level security (RLS) and manage access controls
- Translate requirements into clear, scalable reporting solutions
- Ensure consistency, usability and best practices across Power BI assets
Core skills & experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI
- Advanced DAX and solid Power Query (M) skills
- Experience building star schema / dimensional models
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation
- Experience with Power BI Service (workspaces, apps, gateways, refreshes)
- Understanding of performance tuning and optimisation techniques
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure Synapse, Snowflake or BigQuery
- Exposure to CI/CD for Power BI (deployment pipelines, Git integration)
- Experience working with certified datasets and shared semantic models
- Familiarity with data governance, security and enterprise BI standards
