Developing content across projects | Hybrid working conditions & office near transport links
  • Work for a Local Government Authority
  • Inner city suburbs location | $56 - $60 per hour + super
  • 4 month contract - starting mid June
An exciting opportunity to work for a Local Government Authority in a supportive environment based in the inner city suburbs. Covering an extended 4 month leave period, the role will report to the Manager, Communication & Engagement and will undertake communications activities on ongoing projects and campaigns.  
 
Main responsibilities: 
  • Develop communications and engagement plans 
  • Work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to successfully implement the approved communications and engagement plans in line with internal and external standards and best practice
  • Research and write speeches for the senior leadership team
  • Coordinate external contractors to design, print, install and distribute project communications  
  • Maintaining relationships with key stakeholders  
  • Oversee projects across the organisation and provide advice
The successful candidate will: 
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience working within communications & projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills, high level stakeholder engagement 
  • Experience managing community concerns/ issues  
  • Previous experience working in Local Government advantageous 
  • Must be willing to obtain a police check for the position
