Job description

  • Lead team of 5 account managers, coaching & driving performance

Our client, a leading provider within software, is hiring a Sales Manager to manage a successful team of 5 account managers. This terrific opportunity will be responsible for the growth and development of the Account Management team within the particular territory. Reporting into the Regional Sales Manager, you will develop individual plans with each Account Manager to help deliver against key financial metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Coaching and mentoring team members, allowing them to pitch and close deals to boost revenue
  • Lead more junior account managers in order to train and develop their skills within sales, identifying their strengths and value proposition
  • Forecast, plan and execute projects and sales plans across the territory
  • Provide feedback to the team in a consistent manner, ensuring continuous development and improvement but also celebrating work well done
  • Offer training across the team on specific and relevant topics when required
  • Ensure database and CRM are updated to allow accuracy in data & reporting

Key requirements:

  • Extensive experience managing, coaching and advising sales and field based teams
  • Proven experience working within sales, solution selling or technical industry
  • Strong experience in business development
  • Ability to motivate and drive revenue within teams
  • Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to build rapport, empathy and understanding for others
  • Experience interpreting data and making informed decisions
