About the Company
Our client, one of Australia’s largest automotive financier is seeking an experienced relationship manager for a full time permanent position.
The primary role of a Relationship Manager is to build and grow strategic relationships with their portfolio of Customers which will increase the volume and profitability of the business. Critical to the success of this role is to gain comprehensive knowledge of their customer's, and to develop plans that support and develop a mutually beneficial strategic plan to achieve both the customers as well as business objectives.
Duties within the role will include but not limited to:
- Sales
- Be responsible for growth and use opportunity to upsell
- Grow and build on the value chain
- Achieve predetermined sales targets and KPIs
- Leadership
- Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships with dealers, suppliers, partners, brokers and internal departments
- Maintain professional relationships by adding value
- Support Sales support Representatives through coaching, training, mentoring
- Keep the Sales Support Representatives informed of important customer information, developments and strategies
- Act as the first point of escalation
- Dispute resolution management
- Collaborate with regional and national colleagues on best practice and initiatives
- Fleet Customer Development & Retention
- Review fleet of customers and provide recommendations
- Provide tailored solutions
- Complete fleet health checks
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with customers
- Networking and be a brand ambassador for the organisation
- Advise and address issues affecting performance and other areas
- Influence and negotiate when it comes to dispute resolution
- Actively engage in preparation of tender responses
- Risk Management
- Proactively manage risk
- Compile multi level credit applications
- Understand and review customer annual reports and financial statements
- Oversight of approved lending conditions
- Minimise bad debt, escalating where necessary
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in a business discipline, or similar, is preferable but not essential Prior knowledge of the fleet management, finance and/or automotive industry
- Excellent time management and attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a broader team as well as autonomously
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to gain the respect of senior leaders, internally and externally
- Sound verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in facilitating or delivering meetings, workshops, training, and onboarding
- Strong organisational skills
- Confidently handle multiple tasks, deadlines and priorities
- Natural ability to interpret data and present findings using logical reasoning
- Problem-solving capabilities
- Proven Territory/Account Management
- Lending/Credit Skills
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Financial Services
- Presentation Skills
