Play a pivotal role in increasing community & stakeholder engagement across a busy Local Government | Ensure strategy is being followed | Immediate start

This Council are looking for a motivated & experienced individual to provide specialist advice and conduct research, evaluation and community engagement to facilitate the activities of the Organisation Performance and Engagement Department.

About the role:

  • Provide specialist advice and support on community and stakeholder communication and engagement issues
  • Develop and deliver appropriate engagement training across the organisation
  • Monitor, analyse and present feedback on a continual basis on areas of performance that are critical for stakeholder and community support
  • Support the ongoing development of best practice community engagement guidelines, tools and templates.

About you:

  • Proven experience with in community engagement, advocacy, community planning or community development
  • Understanding of frameworks that are relevant to Local Government
  • Experience running & facilitating community engagement projects as well as advocacy campaigns
  • Strong stakeholder skills and a keen interest in community initiatives 


  • Flexibility of working from home but also the office from time to time
  • Collaborative working environment
  • Located near public transport

You will need to complete a police check and Working With Children’s check before commencing in this role.
