Senior Accountant - Business Services

The Opportunity
My client is a reputable accounting firm within the Central Coast area. They are looking to appoint a Senior Accountant to take ownership of a client portfolio in a very interactive role. This is a key role within the firm and requires strong communication skills, client relationship capability, and the confidence to operate with a high level of autonomy.

An established practice with a team of approximately 45 staff that values integrity, collaboration and professionalism. The business has a strong focus on advisory services, client relationships, and continuous improvement through training and development. Most staff members have long tenures and they like to develop their staff within.

About the Role
You will take ownership of a portfolio of clients and act as their main point of contact, developing strong relationships while supporting them with their accounting and broader business requirements. The role provides a balance of compliance and advisory work, with a strong focus on client interaction and growth. You need to have refined skills already for this role along with a good working history.
Responsibilities include:
• Managing your own portfolio clients across a range of industries
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients and building long term relationships
• Delivering compliance work alongside advisory support such as structuring, planning, and client discussions
• Reviewing work completed by junior team members and providing mentorship
• Managing workflows, deadlines and job budgets with confidence
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
• 5+ years of strong public practice experience
• Confidence managing your own client relationships
• Strong communication, written and interpersonal skills
• A proactive approach and interest in advisory work
