Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Geospatial Applications Developer/Analyst to design and deliver innovative spatial solutions that support biodiversity and environmental initiatives.
You will play a key role in building and enhancing geospatial applications that enable effective spatial data management, analysis, and visualisation. Working across the full development lifecycle, your work will directly contribute to improving mapping quality and environmental reporting outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain geospatial applications to support spatial data workflows
- Build user-friendly, interactive applications using ArcGIS Experience Builder and related tools
- Work across the ESRI suite, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online, to deliver high-quality mapping solutions
- Manage and analyse spatial datasets to support accurate and efficient data-driven decision-making
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable solutions
- Support the integration of spatial data into broader systems and platforms
- Ensure best practices in application performance, usability, and data visualisation
- Contribute to continuous improvement of geospatial tools, processes, and standards
- Proven experience developing geospatial or GIS-based applications
- Strong hands-on experience with ESRI technologies, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Experience Builder
- Experience working with spatial data, including data management, analysis, and visualisation
- Proficiency in relevant programming or scripting languages (e.g. JavaScript, Python) for application development and automation
- Experience integrating geospatial applications with APIs and other enterprise systems
- Strong understanding of application design, user experience, and performance optimisation
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Bonus: Experience working with environmental, ecological, or natural resource datasets
