Our client, is looking for an experienced senior legal secretary to join a team that specialises in providing a wide range of legal services to diverse clientele. The team is composed of dedicated legal professionals who are committed to delivering exceptional legal services.

As a legal secretary, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the legal team in various practice areas. Your organisational skills, attention to detail and knowledge will contribute to the smooth running of the firm.

 

Duties:

  • Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and organising meetings.
  • Provide exceptional administrative support for relevant people
  • Assist with drafting and formatting legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Proficient in typing, proofreading, editing, and finalizing documents for distribution or filing.
  • Assist in maintaining client files and databases, ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Handle phone calls, emails and inquiries and direct them to appropriate contacts
  • Liaise with clients, barristers, courts, doctors for information/ scheduling/ provision of information etc.
  • Assist with billing and accounting tasks, such as preparing invoices, tracking billable hours, and processing client payments.
  • During court proceedings, you may provide support to attorneys by organising exhibits, taking notes, and managing logistics.
  • Generate precedent letters

About you:

  • 2-3 years experience as a legal secretary in personal injury law is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and legal software applications
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work
  • Professional demeanour and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Flexibility with changing priorities and ability to work under pressure
