About the CompanyWe are looking for a WHS Psychosocial Specialist for a government client based in Leichhardt. This role is a 6 month contract paying $65 - $71.87 per hour + super.
About the Role
- Reporting to the Risk and WHS Coordinator (the Coordinator) under the Risk, WHS & Audit Manager, this position provides specialist project support developing psychosocial hazard management elements of our Work Health and Safety framework to minimise, monitor and evaluate the exposure to risk and assist with associated functions and programs.
- Reporting to the Risk and WHS Coordinator (the Coordinator) under the Risk, WHS & Audit Manager, this position provides specialist project support developing psychosocial hazard management elements of our Work Health and Safety framework to minimise, monitor and evaluate the exposure to risk and assist with associated functions and programs.
- Assists with the preparation of risk assessments to manage organisational and person-specific hazards, procedures and operational management standards and like operating documents to enable them to manage its WHS risks.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated senior specialist experience in Psychosocial Safety related risk management in a diverse operational service delivery focused organisation
- Demonstrated project management skills, including a proven track record of systems/process improvement and delivery
- Clinical / healthcare / psychological / mental health management qualifications and minimum 5 years experience in a workplace contextDemonstrated ability to develop operationally effective, clear and unambiguous procedural documents to manage safety risks while preserving and enhancing service effectivenessDemonstrated relevant experience delivering safety leadership advice and support to resolve problems or investigate and respond to business continuity matters or serious incidents, where several complex alternatives need to be addresse
- Proven ability and experience in contributing to a positive safety culture
