Job description
- 6-month contract – Possibility to Extend
 - Clerk Grade 7/8
 - Haymarket Location
 - $350-$450 Per Day + Super (Depending on Experience)
 - Hybrid Working Available
 
Key Accountabilities
- Manage projects by creating plans, allocating resources and fulfilling reporting requirements to deliver programs and initiatives that continuously enhance workplace health and safety.
 - Guide the execution and management of the organisation's Safety Management System to promote ongoing health and safety improvements and reduce risks.
 - Offer expert advice on workplace health and safety strategies and programs to ensure compliance with organizational goals, assisting managers in meeting their objectives.
 - Formulate and design strategies and initiatives to support a comprehensive framework that advances the ongoing improvement and risk reduction in workplace health and safety.
 - Assess training needs and oversee the delivery of workplace health and safety programs to ensure they are effective, suitable, and cost-efficient, enhancing organisational skills.
 - Stay informed about the business, its challenges and goals while fostering strong relationships with clients and team members to ensure initiatives align with the organisation’s plans and stakeholder needs.
 - Work with key stakeholders to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of workplace health and safety measures within the organization, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
 - Provide mentorship, support and guidance to team members and stakeholders to foster a thorough understanding of workplace health and safety, including active participation in WHS sub-committees and related committees.
 
- Stay current with best practices in work health and safety principles, strategies and legislation in a dynamic and ever-improving environment.
 - Create a health and safety risk management profile to identify effective mitigation strategies, considering the diverse work and locations within the organisation.
 - Manage relationships with various stakeholders and customers, adhering to agreed timelines and accommodating their differing expectations, perspectives, and interests.
