About the Company

We are looking for 2 x Workers Compensation Advisors for a NSW government organisation based in Sydney Olympic Park on a 11 month contract. These roles are a hybrid with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home and is paying $65 per hour + super.

About the Role
  • Manage, monitor and review claim and payment processes to ensure benefits and entitlements are paid and reconciled correctly in line with legislation, regulations, policy and business rules.
  • Oversight of volunteer whole person impairment gap payment scheme payment compliance and quality assurance activities.
  • Oversight of administrative requirements including maintaining organisational electronic records management systems for claims processes, correspondence and reporting requirements to ensure data integrity, efficient functioning of service delivery, and strategic decision making.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with the volunteer workers compensation providers, icare, EML & Gallagher BaSsett.
  • Provide expert advice in relation to whole person impairment gap payment scheme claim benefits to claimants, senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Provide expert advice and support to injured workers, managers, and stakeholders on workers compensation entitlement matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the whole person impairment gap payment scheme practices, including participation in audits, reviews, and the development of training and guidance materials.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery and alignment with best practice principles.
  • Support the implementation of system enhancements and process improvements, including user acceptance testing and feedback on functionality and usability

Skills & Experience
  • Relevant qualifications in workers compensation, or a related field, and demonstrated claims management experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of NSW Workers Compensation legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex workers compensation claims and supplementary payment schemes.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in handling sensitive information
