- Local government eastern suburbs based | 3 month contract - starting in February
Our client, a local government authority based in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, is looking a Workplace Relations Specialist to join their people & culture team. The successful person will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive workplace culture and driving strategic workplace relations initiatives.
This is a full-time role, working Monday – Friday. The company offers hybrid work options, 3 days in the office and 2 day from home with the anchor day of Friday.
About the role:
This role will see you managing a range of employee and industrial relations matters, including:
- Leading the resolution of workplace disputes and grievances
- Providing expert advice on HR policies, compliance, and Fair Work matters
- Supporting enterprise agreement (EA) negotiations and implementation
- Partnering with leaders to drive a high-performance, people-focused culture
- Delivering workplace relations strategies that align with organisational goals
- Tertiary qualification in Industrial Relations, HR, or a related field
- 5 years’ experience in workplace relations, with a strong focus on enterprise bargaining and industrial relations
- Strong knowledge of employment law, enterprise agreements, and workplace compliance
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven ability to manage complex ER/IR matters and provide strategic guidance
