Accounts Payable Officer - Education Sector - Temp-to-Perm 

About the Company 

My client, a large education provider based in East Melbourne (close to CBD), requires an experienced Accounts Payable Officer  join a large team and to take control of their own port folio of educational institutions within the group, and perform the full end-to-end Accounts Payable functions within them.
The role is based within a growing Shared Services department, and will report to the Accounts Payable Manager. You will be working in a long established organisation whose main mission is to equip young people with the knowledge, skills and hope to live meaningful lives and enrich the world around them.

About the role: (not limited to)

• Ownership of the AP operation within your own port folio of schools ensuring compliance and deadlines are met at all times
• End-to-end AP duties including queries  
• Work alongside various stakeholders in the business whilst working to service level agreements
• Recommend information and provide support to senior management and procurement regards supplier contracts & cash flow.

You will have:

• Minimum of 2 years experience of an Accounts Payable port folio and its end-to-end functions
• Experience in working in a similar role within a large organisation or company (a shared services environment would be an advantage) 
• The ability to stay calm under pressure
• The ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal form
• Warm and patient demeanor when dealing with stakeholders
• Previous large ERP system usage - preferably Technology One 
• Intermediate to Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Packages 
• Tertiary college education/qualification in related subject - Accounting/Finance/Payroll
