About the Company:
My client is the independent auditor of the New South Wales public sector and reports directly to parliament on the New South Wales government’s financial statements and use of public money.
About the Role:
During this peak period of year end my client is looking for a number of External Auditors to join their large government agency. You will be based in either Parramatta, Ashfield, or CBD and may be required to do some additional travel dependent on which team you would prefer.
Responsibilities Include:
- Inspecting financial statements to catch errors, misstatements and fraud
- Performing audits on systems, operations and accounts
- Reporting audit findings and recommending improvements
- Ability to train and lead an audit team
About You:
- CPA/ CA Qualification Big 4 background (preferred)
- Must have 2-3 years’ experience in external audit of financial statements
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must have up to date knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and legislation
- Open to working holiday visa’s
