Head of Surety

Job description

A Global leading player within Trade Credit & Surety is seeking the experience and knowledge of a Surety Head of.  

Company and role  
This company have a global presence within the Surety space and a leading reputation. Already a sizeable local outfit they continue to strengthen this division by appointing a new Head of Surety.  
 
Key Responsibilities: 

• Portfolio Management and Development 
• Market facing approach, acquiring new business, developing networks and identifying opportunity areas 
• Implementing marketing strategy for Surety Products and new product lines 
• Build and maintain internal and external relationships by creating solutions to meet the needs of internal and external customers.   
• Deliver specialised product knowledge to all teams.  
• Work closely with their insurer partners and networks, by developing and revising their needs.  
• Have relevant knowledge of the market, regarding broker networks and product development. 

 
Key Requirements: 

• Knowledge of Surety, Credit and related business lines would be advantageous but is not imperative  
• Ability to work on your own initiative and experience but also having the willingness to offload your expertise to the team 
• Candidates outside of the Insurance market must be able to demonstrate enthusiasm, interest and experience towards Surety, Credit and Finance 
• Excellent interpersonal skills and confident with presenting 
• Previous general Insurance underwriting and product knowledge 
• Excellent training and communication skills both verbal and written 
• Existing relationships with Brokers an advantage 
• Willing to travel
