Job description
My client is looking for aPython Developer for to build out an already successful and innovative product. You will be responsible to build significant features in a large mature application with many users, working for a world renowned organisation. You will be self-accountable and able to work on large features with maximum responsibility and minimal supervision, you will be work on a code base as part of a team and solve complex problems
Key skills
- Python - 3+ years
- Linux
- SQL (postgres/postgis specifically, but other databases are required and there is a lot of common ground with databases anyway)
- AWS or other cloud experience
- Architectural patterns
- Deployment and team tool technologies (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, git, Bash shell scripting, hipchat)
- Familiarity with service oriented architectures
Skills that are nice to have:
- Jenkins, Puppet or similar configuration management tools
- Familiarity with computer graphics and/or computation geometry (for context)
- Mining or large scale simulation involving equipment fleets
- Data analysis
- Algorithms Boost
- C++
- Network programming
