Job description

We have partnered with a well known organisation in the heart of Melbourne CBD, looking for an experienced Reporting Analyst in Power BI. You will join a small and new team setting up an established centric Data Team. The role will be working remotely to begin with and offering $400-450pd for a duration of 12 months.

Key duties:

  • Developing Power BI reports and assisting with report integration
  • Understanding and translating the data from different data sources, providing intelligent insights and advising on how to improve performance for BI reporting
  • Working with Developers, Analysts and Modellers in driving solutions for the business and meeting requirements
  • Supporting data management strategies 
  • Advising and maintaining business intelligence outputs
  • Engaging and communicating effectively with multiple stakeholders across the business
  • Troubleshooting issues as they arise
  • Coordinate testing and deployment of dashboard outputs
  • Adhering to timely deadlines and budgets set
  • Coach and support others in the team

You will need:

  • Excellent analytical thinking and passion for data 
  • Strong, open and clear communication skills with a customer focused mindset 
  • 4 years minimum in Power BI (including proficiency with DAX queries)
  • Solid understanding and hands on experience in Business Objects and Tableau
  • Hands on experience with Azure Data Factory
  • Solid SQL skills
  • Strong knowledge of database architecture
