Senior Underwriter - Expression of Interest

My client is an established whilst growing Underwriting Agency and Lloyd’s Coverholder.

The Firm:  

In 2019 my client has doubled its GWP, added an additional 1/3 of its staff headcount and implement an attractive growth strategy for 2020.  
With extensive experience and running of profitable portfolios in; A&H, Cyber, Aviation, Marine, Financial Lines, Emerging Risks and Retail Travel.  
The business is now looking to diversify into new markets such as; Property, Casualty, Construction, Engineering and Credit Lines (Trade, Surety, Structured) with a well-seasoned Senior and/or Underwriter to pilot them down the runway into the markets.  
Experienced in the local Australian, New Zealand and Asia Pacific markets as well as the international insurance & reinsurance territories.  
 

The Role: 

• To be discussed.   
• Subject to the individual / class of business.  
• In short and primarily the focus of the role will be to Underwrite new business in the A&NZ / APAC markets.  

The requirements: 

• Proven track record in Underwriting / Portfolio Management.   
• Local experience, understanding and knowledge of the market.  
• Global Insurance experience will prove advantageous.  
• Well networked and technically competent.  
• Looking for professionals who have had experience in a similar role. People who are confident in their capabilities to autonomously manage a portfolio and Underwrite new business.  
• Articulate, interpersonal & communicative.
