Job description

Our NSW Government client are seeking an experienced and passionate Service Management Consultant with skills and experience across a range of service management processes and technologies to support the design and delivery of projects bringing innovative technology and business benefits to the NSW community. This position will vary in the scope of project responsibilities; however generally this position will focus on delivering solutions such as but not limited to:

  • Service Management Architecture and Planning
  • Service Optimisation
  • Service Integration and Management
  • Service Desk Implementation
  • ITIL process assessment, design and implementation
  • Software Licence Management
  • Service Management Tool Architecture, Design and Implementation

In the initial phases, this role will be focussing on the design and strategy so we're specifically looking for someone who has designed and built service management processes from scratch. From time to time, you will also be required to assist with managing operational issues requiring experienced oversight and service management integration support across a range of internal and external ICT providers.

To be successful, you will need experience in the following areas:

  • Service management consulting
  • Service management maturity assessment
  • Service management process design and implementation
  • Service management operating model design and implementation
  • Service management tool strategy, architecture, design and implementation
  • Software asset management
  • Service management analytics
  • Service operations review and stabilisation
  • Service integration and management (SIAM) operating model, process design and tool implementation
  • Service catalogue design and implementation
  • ServiceNow design, implementation and service delivery
  • Service desk transformation and service delivery
  • Project management
  • Cloud, Salesforce and Mulesoft API management service delivery
  • Organisational change management
  • Developing team and growing a Service Management capability.

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in service management consulting and delivery
  • Ability to articulate design, operational and technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to express complex concepts, issues and ideas into various media; proposals, white papers, presentations, architecture and process designs
  •  Ability to meet travel requirements, when applicable
  • Experience with ITIL oriented (operational or service management) tools – service desk, change, availability, and/or monitoring 
  • Highly prefer candidates with relevant industry or technology certifications: ITIL v3, COBIT, ServiceNow, BMC
