Description:
One of our government clients is looking for a Windows Server Engineer to play a key role in the management of infrastructure, implementation and operations of the server environment. Maintain, manage and proactively monitor server platforms. Provide technical and operational input through stakeholder collaboration meetings, including new projects, audit and security compliance. Conduct high level monitoring and reporting to ensure SLA's are met /exceeded
Essential requirements:
• Windows Server Experience: (minimum 5 years exp with large enterprise organisation)
• Extensive experience with Windows Server administration 2008 to 2019; troubleshooting and investigation, critical incident response, root cause analysis
• Windows patching experience; coordination, approvals, maintenance windows, notifications, discovery and onboarding, change management
• Experience with Automation; PowerShell scripting, Git/GitHub/Azure DevOps or similar is a plus
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms including deployment of IaaS and PaaS resources, management and troubleshooting
• Server builds, SOE, Windows server Security hardening/Remediation
• File share management and file server migrations
• Group policy management
