Leading Finance broker looking for Application Support Manager to work with desktop, infrastructure, communications and information security support teams.


About the role:

  • Monitoring and supporting key business applications to ensure uptime and performance are within business SLAs
  • Ensuring key business processes (including payments processing, bank statement processing, funding reports) are completed within business SLAs
  • Work with application delivery team on handover of new applications, feedback and resolution of issues
  • Analyse current processes and interactions for improvements in reliability, error handling and efficiency
  • Implement improvements according to prioritised pipeline
  • Make recommendations on improvements including new technologies and processes
  • Provide training and coaching where required
  • Monitor, provide 2nd and 3rd level support, troubleshoot and continuously improve the application landscape, including responding to incidents and alerts
  • Work with the Azure development stack, especially Azure Portal Visual Studio, Azure DevOps
  • Establish, manage and develop processes to support key applications including monitoring and alerting systems, documentation and support processes
  • Assist in the preparation of reports including for audits and performance reporting
  • Work closely with the internal Platform Managers and Product Owners from around the business and liaises with external vendor delivery leads for delivery of operational stability and improvements


About you:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or relevant discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, React, expertise in .Net Framework, .Net Core
