About the CompanyA Financial Service company based in Sydney CBD is looking for a Business Manager to join their team. This is a permanent position that is full time with a Hybrid work model - 3/4 days a week in the Sydney office. This role is paying up to $220,000 package.
About the Role
- Contributing to the development and implementation of the division’s strategic goals and business plan
- Oversight of the transformation plan and reporting on progress
- Managing the division’s finances, including tracking of actual to budget
- Ensuring the divisions risk profile is up to date, and all compliance obligations are met, and controls are in place to mitigate operational risk. This will include ensuring follow up to ensure timely closure of issues
- Developing and tracking metrics to ensure the effective operational performance of the division
- Monitoring performance of the division against its business plan
- Assisting in the identification of emerging risks/issues and aspects of the division’s activities that require management attention
- Influencing, contributing and coordinating the wide projects, playing a pivotal role in change management initiatives and committees
- Responsibility for divisional wide planning events, coordinating leadership team meetings, Exec secretariat and driving divisional communication and training initiatives.
- Communicating and engaging with the other divisions to ensure divisional functions and positions are well understood
- Coordinating with other divisions to facilitate the conduct of joint projects
Skills & Experience
- A team player with strong stakeholder management skills
- Strong financial sector or similar experience
- Strong innovation, embedding change, strategy development/execution and risk management
- A forward planner with the ability to dive into detail to derive key insights from business reporting but also scan the horizon for emerging opportunities;
- Ability to lead and contribute to an innovative and agile operating division
