Credit Control role, part-time two days/week permanent, Macquarie Park, Tech industry

ASX-listed tech company recruiting a Credit control officer on a two-day a week contract.  You can choose your own working pattern e.g. work two full days or work four days on reduced hours. 16 hour/week contract.

The role:

Manage Customer Accounts

 

  •    Review accounts and follow up arrears
  •    Maintain good internal and external customer relations
  •    Develop productive liaison with industry contacts
  •    Make decisions on order release for credit limits up to 20% of the credit limit
  •    Identify and immediately refer to credit management any problem accounts, unusual transactions or customer inability to comply with credit terms
  •    Correctly allocate and age cash received to enable banking on day of receipt
  •    Release held orders where appropriate and advise if not being released

Prepare and maintain reconciliations, reports and debtor information

  •    Maintain debtors ledger
  •    Review accuracy of transactions
  •    Resolve anomalies
  •    Issue invoices, credit notes, statements, reports, transaction support documentation
  •    Prepare cash forecast of collections for assigned ledger
  •    Issue shortfall analysis and cash flow reports to an acceptable standard

Recommend credit limits and legal actions

  • Review case and determine action required based on sales history and credit references including confirming that an updated Credit Application Form is held, Personal Property Security Registration is held, a Deed of Indemnity and Guarantee is held where appropriate
  • Review and action accounts on credit review to prevent significant delay in order processing
  • Manage those customers on own ledger with a Rebate agreement according to those terms
  •  Ensure contracts are signed off as required and the Rebate system is maintained
  •  Ensure Rebate is paid according to the terms

 

The ideal candidate:

  • At least three years’ experience in a similar type role
  • Undertaking or completed Advanced Credit Management Certificate
  • Demonstrated understanding of credit procedures and basic credit law
  • A good command of MS Excel
