Payroll Specialist | Permanent | Hybrid | Sydney Central | $100k Incl. Super

My client is a global leader in their field and looking for an experienced payroll professional to join their established team.

This role requires someone who is comfortable and experienced in dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders (payroll & non payroll). Someone with excellent attention to detail, able to query, teach and push back where needed would be a great fit for this role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure all HR data required for payroll are synchronised between HR system and payroll system for fortnightly & monthly payrolls
  • 1000+ employees across 8 business units
  • Liaise with the external payroll provider and stakeholders across all business units  helping solve any payroll issues identified
  • Log all payroll issues on CRM & monitor progress. Advise stakeholders of progress & solutions
  • Generate and distribute Payroll/EOM/EOY payroll reports
  • Reconcile data provided from HR and payroll systems
  • Liaise with outsourced payroll provider for resignation / termination / redundancy calculations, checking calculations to ensure compliance with legislation
  • Check payroll reports reconcile to the GL
  • Calculate, lodge and pay payroll taxes in all States monthly
  • Assist with internal and external audits
Experience required:

  • 3 years + working experience in payroll (in-house, outsourced or both)
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong problem solving, organizational skills and detail orientated
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently and deliver high quality output under time pressure
