About the role  

My client who are in the NFP Sector are looking for a Data and Reporting Analyst for a 6-month contracting opportunity. The role of Data & Reporting Analyst is to engage with key stakeholders to identify, analyse, build, and deploy reporting and analytical solutions. Working within a dynamic group of mental health professionals, the role will lead the successful implementation of the reporting and analytical projects within the agreed scope, timeframe, and budget.

 

What you will need

  • Consult with key stakeholders to lead the requirements definition, scoping, and delivery of reporting and advanced analytics projects.
  • Analyse and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and define new process improvement opportunities.
  • Manage the consultation process, developing approaches and techniques to encourage stakeholder engagement and participation.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the design, translation and delivery of reporting and analytical solutions using different tools and techniques.
  • Manage allocated budgets and lead the scoping and commercial negotiations with vendors on project proposals.
  • Deliver data analytics and reporting services that provide additional value to the digital program owners.
  • Leverage existing and new data sources and extract further value from the organisations data by providing actionable insights.
  • Produce creative data visualisations and intuitive graphical reports to present data in a way that is easily understood.
  • Work closely with rest of the Data & Reporting team to support stakeholder buy-in, through developing and maintaining effective communication mechanisms and change management processes.
  • Ensure high satisfaction amongst stakeholders with training, communication, reporting and analysis that the team provides.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of Enterprise Data Management solutions – Data Governance, Data Quality, Master and Reference Data Management.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting and analysis services by leading projects, researching new and emerging methodologies, technologies, software, and techniques.
  • Other duties consistent with the position where required and/or requested.

 

Experience Needed

  • At least 5 year’s demonstrated experience in the end-to-end life cycle of reporting and analytics projects.
  • Demonstrated experience using reporting tools like Tableau.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of data methodologies.
  • 2+ years’ experience using SQL for data analysis.
  • The ability to translate abstract information into high quality business requirements.
  • Proven track record in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a highly productive environment with time pressures whilst managing multiple tasks.
  • Advanced computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a broad range of people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a productive team member.
