Director - School Utilisation

• Sydney CBD / WFH
• Initial 12-month contract
• Pays $1,200 a day (incl. of super)

NSW Government Agency is looking for a Director to provide direction, oversight and strategic vision for two streams across School Utilisation - Strategic Merit Assessment and School Intake Areas

Responsibilities:

• Set and continue to evolve the high-level objectives, goals and metrics for both workstreams under School Utilisation
• Provide reporting materials and present to the Agency and executives
• Support the Executive Director in establishing School Utilisation’s role, responsibilities and value to the business and the wider Department
• Collaborate regularly with other business units across the Department to ensure School Utilisation does not work individualistically and aligns to strategic direction of the broader business
• Provide review and approval of deliverables where Director-level approval is required (e.g. SMAs, escalated intake area changes)
• Support the Executive Director in communicating to the agencies Executive - attendance and presentation at Executive-level meetings as required
• Preparation of reporting documents for monthly Executive updates and presenting at Executive meeting
• Preparation and oversight of briefing notes where approval is required from the Chief Executive, Secretary or Minister is required
• Provide day-to-day management to 4 managers

About you:

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and proven experience in a similar senior capacity
• Understanding of how Government Investment works and how the Government makes decisions towards Business Cases
• Consulting experience is beneficial
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
