About the company:

Our client, a purpose-driven education body, is looking for an Employee Relations Advisor to join their Employee Relations team. The role reports to the Manager, Employee Relations, this is a pivotal role providing timely and high-quality support stakeholders in the education sector across a variety of complex and sensitive matters.

The company are based on the cusp of Melbourne CBD. This is a full-time role, working Monday – Friday. The company offers hybrid work options, generally 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing advice on employment issues, industrial instruments, and policy interpretation
  • Supporting with case management end-to-end (conduct, performance, ill/injured employees)
  • Contributing to policy development and workplace training programs
  • Advocating in tribunals such as the Fair Work Commission when required
  • Building strong, consultative relationships with key stakeholders
  • Assisting in enterprise bargaining periods and broader ER initiatives
About you
  • 2–3 years’ experience in an industrial or employee relations role
  • Tertiary qualifications in Law, HR, Industrial Relations, or related discipline
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly
  • A solid understanding of employment law and the Fair Work framework
  • Excellent written skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
