Position Overview:
As a crucial member reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you'll play a vital role in major projects, ensuring the integrity of the general ledger, and managing statutory and management reporting for compliance. This role demands deep technical expertise for accurate and timely financial reporting, including internal and external reports and statutory audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize technical expertise for high-quality accounting documentation.
- Drive the financial month-end cycle, including journals and reconciliations.
- Maintain ERP system integrity, ensuring adherence to accounting standards.
- Lead ERP enhancements and contribute to system transformation.
- Prepare annual statutory consolidated financial reports.
- Coordinate financial data gathering for government or regulatory reporting.
- Support internal and external audits, managing information requests.
- Contribute to platform governance and compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist in integrating enterprise applications and identify and mitigate risk issues.
- Review and ensure compliance with ERP business processes and controls.
- Liaise with stakeholders, provide financial analysis, and manage diverse workloads.
Qualifications and Skills:
- CA Qualified or near completion.
- Minimum 3 years' finance experience in large, complex environments.
- Preferred experience in construction, or infrastructure industries.
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or equivalent.
- Exposure to Tier 1 ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to adapt to change.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proactive and self-driven with a focus on pragmatic solutions.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
